Social Media – Stay Connected to the WCC!

We have worked hard to cultivate a virtual community related to integrative children’s health as a complement to our direct patient care work at the Whole Child Center.

There are several ways to engage with us via social media:

  1. Facebook
  2. Instagram
  3. Pinterest
  4. Twitter

We look forward to “seeing” you online!

October 2015 update

Happy fall to our Whole Child Center community!

We are going to be posting updates more frequently, so we encourage you to check back here monthly.

  1. The best way to stay up to date regarding WCC happenings is to routinely visit our Facebook page ( – Dr. Rosen often posts his articles from MindBodyGreen and Huffington Post here first.
  2. We host many workshops at the Whole Child Center during evenings.  Nurse Karen coordinates these, and they vary from nutrition seminars to CPR classes.  These are always posted on our Facebook page.  We welcome your ideas for workshops, too, so please share with Karen when you’re in.
  3. When you’re in the office, ask Beth, Emily or Kathleen about our healthy family recipe board.  Dr. Jeney curates a wide variety of often vegetarian and allergen-free options and we are always excited to share YOUR recipes, too, so send them our way.
  4.  The Whole Child Center is almost 8 1/2 years old and we’re due for a fresh coat of paint by year’s end.  Rest assured, we’ll use the least toxic option available, as we always have.  For more information on our eco-sustainable mission, click the “Our Office” tab on our web site.

Have a very happy and safe Halloween!

Dr. Rosen: Interview with Health Care Without Harm

Health Care Without Harm’s Safer Chemicals Program seeks to eliminate dangerous chemicals in the health care setting that can adversely affect patient health and employee safety without sacrificing quality of care. To achieve this goal, we focus on promoting a “green” approach to health care that prevents or reduces exposure to toxic chemicals among patients and staff, while also taking into consideration health care’s impact on the environment.

To learn more about the leadership role that physicians play when it comes to greening health care, we spoke with Dr. Lawrence Rosen, a pediatrician and founder of The Whole Child Center in Oradell, New Jersey. Taking a more holistic approach to health care delivery, Dr. Rosen set out to practice an integrated style of medicine that takes environmental exposures into consideration when treating his patients. The Whole Child Center is also a leading example of ecological sustainability in health care, designed in a way that minimizes impact to the environment while promoting health for staff and patients.

The Whole Child Center Newsletter
Great News & Important Info
Dear Whole Child Family,
It’s hard to believe that we have closed the family photo album on another great summer. We hope  you had a fulfilling summer whether you were on the road visiting some far off place or relaxing during a much needed stay-cation. The WCC family got some time away from the office at the beach, in the mountains, over seas and right here at home. Lots of excitement at the WCC this summer, as Megan Jolin APN joined us to help out while Dr Jeney was away on maternity leave. Well, she liked us soooo much (it’s mutual) that she has decided to stay on. Speaking of Dr Jeney, the WCC family added its newest member this summer as we are VERY excited to welcome Aspen Devi, Dr. Jeney’s beautiful baby girl!  Dr. Jeney will be returning to work in December and we look forward to having her back in the office as we prepare for a busy winter.

January 2014 update

Happy New Year to our patients and prospective patients!

We’ve been very busy at the Whole Child Center this month, and we wanted to let you know what we’ve been working on.

1. Winter is our busiest season due to all the viral infections floating around – as many of you know.  We are working hard with you to keep your kids healthy and provide integrative treatments for those who are not well.  Remember to pay attention to basic lifestyle wellness principles like good nutrition, activity and rest.  Get your kids outdoors in the fresh air and sunlight when you can.  Take time to connect with each other and nourish your relationships – they are healing in and of themselves.

2. We are also really working hard to register new patients.  As you can imagine, we had a wonderful surge of interest in December and once January 1st hit, we’ve been trying to reach out and schedule as many of you as we can – but please, be patient – it’s going to take some time to connect with everyone.  Our first priority is making sure our current patients get the care they need and deserve – and we have brought on extra help (super WCC employee-at-large, Kate – nurse Karen’s daughter) to call prospective new patients, get you registered and allow you to make appointments with Beth and Emily.  Don’t worry, we will get to everyone.

3. Please be sure to read our new office policies carefully, including information about our practice administration fee.  This is true for existing and new patients.  We sent out notification by snail mail and e-mail in the fall, and any letters that bounced back have been re-addressed.  If you still have no idea what we mean, contact Kathleen Donnelly, our office manager, during routine business hours.

4. We will post updates at least monthly, so sign up on this page to get the latest WCC news in your inbox.  Also, if you haven’t already, join the Whole Child Center Facebook page for more news, research highlights, photos and much more.

With much gratitude for all of you,

The Whole Child Center

Announcement: Now accepting new patients!

This is the announcement many of you have been anticipating!  For the first time in over two years, we will be accepting new patients other than newborns.  While this is very exciting for all of us, PLEASE take the time to read this ENTIRE POST before contacting us.

1. DO NOT CALL our office.  The process is specifically designed so that we can continue to function and answer the many daily phone calls we receive from existing patients.

2. Carefully read all FAQs at – here you will find more details about our administrative process.  Then go to and carefully review our office Policies.

3. On the patient info page, download the New Patient Information Form.  Complete one per child and return as noted at the top of the form by either faxing to us at 201-634-1606, mailing to us or scan and email to

4. When we have received your completed forms, WE will contact YOU.  Do NOT call us to check that it was received or to check on the status.  We will call you to register your family and set up appointments.  First appointments will be after January 1, 2014.

5. Dr. Rosen will NOT be seeing new patients other than those referred specifically by health care professionals, and those appointments are typically booked months in advance.  We have four other amazing, integrative practitioners here to see your children.

6. If, after all of the above, you still have questions, call and ask for our office manager, Kathleen Donnelly.  Please do not call for routine questions.  Thank you for understanding.  We look forward to working with you and your family.
